Slowly but surely it seems my newly growing makeup collection is being completely taken over by Makeup Revolution. They have so many beautiful and affordable products that it’s hard to not leave Superdrug without 15+ items! As a brand, Make up Revolution have created a jam packed counter of high quality, cruelty free, professional products and the price of their items is incredible! Not that I’m complaining… One of their newest releases is the Fortune Favours The Brave palette; a product designed by beauty blogger, BritishBeautyBlogger.

I saw this palette travelling around Instagram and I knew that I HAD to have it. The packaging is lovely and looks really sleek; a matte gold packaging all around with black typography labelling the brand name and product. This palette is laid out differently to most of their palettes which assists in setting it apart from the others. A brush is included within the palette separating the shades down the middle, although it sadly doesn’t seem like it would be able to assist with creating a nice smooth blend of shades onto your eyelids.

This palette is somewhat similar to the other 32 shade palettes from Makeup Revolution but the style of the shades are not like anything they’ve done before. It holds a beautiful mix of shimmer, matte and baked eyeshadows with such a large array of different colours that you could create numerous different looks appropriate for all seasons and occasions. With gold shades swarming make up tutorials currently, this palette is right on trend. Even though there are a few colours that I would personally never wear, they’d be great to have a play around with for some more specific looks. Unfortunately, the size of the shadows are really rather small which is definitely a little bit of a disappointment, but with a price tag of £9.99 it most definitely redeems itself! It doesn’t seem like you’d hit the pan for a while anyway with 30 shades to get through!

I’m mostly always drawn to a palette for the product as a whole, but specifically here the nude shades, pink tones and gold creations really drew me in. Since trying them, the shades have blended well and with ease and I’ve experienced hardly any fallout from application. They last for the majority of the day and are definitely night-out proof!

Overall, this palette has exceeded my expectations. I have very sensitive, allergy prone skin and am a sufferer of chronic eczema - if anyone is going to have a reaction to a product, it’s me! However, I have experienced nothing untoward with this palette and am super impressed. It’s unique to this specific price band on the high street and holds something different and unique. The pigmentation of these shades are really fantastic and this palette can act as a high quality, staple addition to any makeup collection; whether it’s just someone just starting out with makeup or someone who is more knowledgable. If you haven’t already tried Makeup Revolution before, you must! Not only for this specific palette but for all of their products - you will be guaranteed find at least one product that you will fall in love with.
